How We Do It
The client’s goal was to improve collections, reduce A/R and minimize the cost to collect. The client struggled to collect from a large pool of smaller workers’ compensation payers with very little results. HGS incorporated the state’s statutory appeal process into the client’s workflow, resulting in increased collections and a reduction in A/R aging by nearly 60 percent.
With HGS’s expertise, the client’s A/R aging decreased from approximately 45% of the A/R aged >90 days to approximately 20% of the A/R aged >90 days.
